Strategic Goal Setting: How to Crush Your 1st Quarter Goals in the New Year
I can't believe we are already done with the first quarter of 2022!?!?
I feel like since the start of the pandemic, time has been flying. Or is it just me? I know I can't be alone in this feeling. I woke up it as Jan 1st and then WHAM, here we are!
With a new year, majority of us set resolution to achieve within the year. Some of the typical goals include:
Spend time with God or practice faith.
Become healthier.
Start a new hobby.
Create passive income.
Keep a journal.
Change career.
Travel some place new.
Read a book a month.
Spend time volunteering.
Save more and/or invest.
Do random acts of kindness.
End the night with gratitude.
Talk less, listen more.
Now, here is the important question - Have you started any of your goals?
If you have not started any of your goals, do not quit nor defeated and down. Here is the great thing, you still have time and you can get started!! Remember, it is YOU vs. YOU and I'm counting that you are going to win.
Here are a few helpful tools to get started on those goals:
BOOK - Simon Sinek has a great book called Start with Why that is great starting place to find our why. Tap in yourself find the things that drives, moves, and ignites you.
PLANNER - Using a planner has so many benefits: helps to manage time, improve productivity, less likely to forget something important, place for records, allows to focus on important activities, and gives a great sense of accomplishment.
My personal favorite planner that I've used for the past 4 years; which I love is the Day Designer Weekly + Monthly Planner. I like the layout of this planner, because it's beautifully designed, helpful content, and easy-to-use planning pages. It includes to-do lists, schedule, notes, and a gratitude section.
JOURNAL - there are many reasons to journal for different aspects of our live from travel, dream, gratitude, prayer. I like journaling for a couple reason: relieve stress, keep thoughts organized, record ideas, boost memory, inspire creativity, and allow to self-reflect.
You find tons of journals in some store from Amazon to Target to Ross.
Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible." ~ Tony Robbins
