Unveiling the Luxury and Elegance of Portrait Milano Hotel in Milan, Italy
Background/Location: The Portrait Milano is apart of the Lungarno Collection, owned by the Ferragamo family; which recently opened this year in the shopping district of Milan. This 5-star luxury hotel is a stand-out property among the best hotels in Milan, offering quintessentially Italian hospitality, a personal touch toward each guest. It sits amongst in the midst of one of Europe's oldest Monasteries (16th century), so you feel like you are in a private oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle.

Rooms: There are 73 romantic suites, family suites and spacious guestrooms for Portrait Milano. The Garden View Deluxe Suite has beautiful views of the back courtyard. The bathrooms are simply gorgeous (see pics below). One of the biggest perks of the room is wall-control system for everything in the room - you can dim the backlight of the control system so that the room was PITCH BLACK overnight.
Bar/Food: The breakfast buffet is located in the naturally lit dining area next to the courtyard. The food is appetizing and the presentation is outstanding. The restaurants serves cuisine inspired by the tradition from Northern Italy with casual dining at 10_11 (Ten Eleven) that has a bar, a restaurant, a splendid garden, and the colonnade facing the square. The BeefBar offers the world’s best meats through popular recipes and a cosmopolitan selection of street food, tiraditos, ceviche and tartare. As it relates to the bar, they have beautiful cocktails and are able to sit and people watch as the bar/lounge is usually quite busy with beautiful locals at 4pm on a Sunday.
Facilities: Stunning outdoor dining area as shown in picture-perfects spot for aperitivo (a beverage enjoyed before a meal to stimulate the appetite). There are a couple high-end boutiques and restaurants occupying the other commercial locations around the square. They are currently finishing their spa/gym and their rooftop terrace (set to be complete by fall 2023), however, they have facilities available at a local high end gym next door for guests to use complimentary. The spa will include a pool, gym, and holistic treatments that combine detoxification, meditation, and cryotherapy.
